Nadia Murad is an iraqi yazidi human rights activist, Nobel Peace Prize nominee and since September 2016 the first Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking of the United Nations. She witnessed the slaughter of her family and was held as a a slave by the IS militants, before managing to escape after three months. As a UN Ambassador, Nadia actively promotes awaireness-raising campaigns and initiatives on human trafficking and refugees.
