Souad Belhaddad is a journalist and writer. Born in Algeria, she grew up in France where she currently lives. Passionate about women’s rights, she directed “SOS Femmes Algériennes”, which won the prestigious award from the Association des Femmes Journalistes in 1994. As a writer, she has worked on issues of discrimination, racism, anti-Semitism and fundamentalism, but also about memory and national identity. Among her publications, “Entre-deux Je” (2001), “Algérie: Le Prix de l'oubli” (2005), “SurVivantes” (2004) e “La Fleur de Stéphanie” (2006). She is also author and protagonist of the one-woman show “Beaucoup de choses à vous djire”, a comedy that explores multi-national identities through the relationship between a mother and daughter.
