Stefano Schirato
Stefano Schirato (1974, Pescara) has a degree in Political Science in Bologna. In 1999, for the support of Public Emergency, he publishes his first book on the tragedy of anti-personnel mines in Cambodia, "Gli occhi della Cambogia” (The eyes of Cambodia), with a preface by Ferdinando Scianna. In recent years, he is divided between social issues and international policies and still photography. He works as a freelance with national and international magazines (New York Times, Washington Post, Le Monde, Le Figarò, Geo International, Vanity Fair) and from 2014 he is photojournalism teacher in Pescara, for the Mood Photography school, of which he is a founding member.
