Alessandra Ballerini

Alessandra Ballerini is a civil law specialized in human rights and immigration. She works with the CGIL immigration office dealing with women who are victims of violence, custody of minors, protection of the marginalized and "vulnerable groups". She is a consultant for the Caritas in Ventimiglia and collaborates with the Anti-Violence Center of the Province of Genoa to protect abused women. Together with his colleagues of the "Genoa Legal Forum" she followed the causes of compensation in the interest of some pacifist protesters injured during the G8 in Genoa in 2001. She participated as a consultant of the Senate "Human Rights Commission" monitoring the centers of reception and detention for foreigners and drafting the White Paper on CPTAs (Centers for Temporary Stay and Assistance) in 2006. She wrote "La vita ti sia lieve" about stories of migrants and other excluded; she is a journalist since 2016. She is currently the legal representative of the Regeni family.
