Andrea Baranes is the president of the Cultural Foundation Responsabilità Etica, of the Banca Etica network. He is the spokesman of the 005 campaign for the introduction of a tax on financial transactions and has been responsible for campaigns on private financial institutions at the Campaign for the World Bank reform. He is author of several books on finance and economics, including "Finanza per indignati", "Come depredare il Sud del mondo", "Il grande gioco della fame" and "Per qualche dollaro in più - come la finanza casinò si sta giocando il pianeta". He was a founding member and General Secretary of the Human Rights Culture Association, for the promotion of human rights through art and exhibitions.
