Azra Nuhafendic is one of the most authoritative Bosniac journalists. Born in Sarajevo, she has lived in Trieste since 1995. Correspondent for Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso and winner of the prestigious international award "Writing for Central and Eastern Europe". In 2011 she got published “Le stelle che stanno giù. Cronache dalla Jugoslavia e dalla Bosnia Erzegovina”. It tells the story of a disappeared country (Jugoslavia) and of a new one (Bosnia-Herzegovina), blending together history, personal experiences, myths and stereotypes.
