Laura Silvia Battaglia is a freelance professional journalist and documentary filmmaker. She has been a correspondent from Sanaa for the American-Lebanese video-journalist agency Transterra Media, the Turkish agency TRTWorld, the Swiss public service (RSI), The Fair Observer and Guernica Magazine. She regularly collaborates with italian medias such as newspapers (Avvenire, La Stampa, Il Fatto Quotidiano), radio networks (Radio Tre Mondo, Radio Popolare, Radio In Blu), television (TG3 - Agenda del mondo, Rai News 24), magazines ( D - Republic of Women, Panorama, Modern Woman), agencies (Social Editor), websites (TGcom24, Lettera43). She also collaborates with the websites Terrasanta.net and Eastmagazine.eu. She dedicates herself to reportage in conflict zones (Middle East, Balkans and Maghreb) since 2007. She filmed and self-produced five video documentaries. The first one, "Maria Grazia Cutuli. The price of truth ", won the Giancarlo Siani Award 2010. She also received the Maria Grazia Cutuli Award 2013 as an emerging Sicilian journalist. She is teaching Journalism since 2007 at the University Cattolica ini Milan. She works at the Tv2000 television where she leads the "Cous cous" section.
