Matteo Biffoni has been Mayor of Prato since the 28 May 2014. As a lawyer, he has dedicated to political and social issues since an early age. In 2004 he was city councillor and in 2012 he won the primary elections for the parliamentary elections of February 2013, coming first and getting the election to the Chamber of Deputies. In Parliament he entered the Justice Commission. One years ago, he resigned from Parliament and decided to run for Mayor of Prato, being elected in the first round. During each of his political and professional tasks, he has always kept alive his interest for volunteering and associations.
