Ugo Biggeri is currently President of Banca Etica anche Etica sgr. Since 2009 he has been Professor of Finance and Microcredit at the University of Florence. From 1997 to 2000 he was President of the nonprofit organization Manitese. From 2003 to 2009 he created and coordinated the manifestation on good practices related to environmental and social sustainability “Terra Futura”. From 2003 to 2010 he was President of the Cultural Foundation Responsabilità Etica promoted by Banca Popolare Etica. During this period he created guarantee funds for microcredit projects in Italy, took part in international networks of Ethical Finance, was editor in chief of the “Valori” magazine and began to take action against Eni and Enel in the framework of the World Back reform campaign, in support of Greenpeace.
